Election of the person nominated for the position of Rector of CTU

At its meeting on December 18, 2024, the Academic Senate of the Czech Technical University in Prague announced, in accordance with Article 6 of the Rules of Procedure of the CTU AS, the election of the nominee for Rector of CTU in Prague for the term of office from February 1, 2026, to January 31, 2030.

Schedule of the election

  • Deadline for submitting candidate materials: May 30, 2025, at 12:00 p.m.
  • Submission of "Topics to Elaborate" by the AS committees to candidates: June 1, 2025
  • Formal introduction of candidates to the Academic Senate: June 26, 2025
  • Deadline for submission of Topics by candidates: July 31, 2025
  • Publication of Topics: August 1, 2025
  • Deadline for submitting questions from the academic community: September 18, 2025, at 12:00 p.m.
  • Deadline for submission of answers to written questions: 30 September 2025
  • Publication of answers to written questions: 1 October 2025
  • Discussion with candidates in joint committees of AS: October 8, 2025
  • Public presentation of candidates and discussion with the academic community and CTU employees: October 15, 2025, from 1:30 p.m. in the Congress Hall of Masaryk College, Thákurova 1, Prague 6.
  • Election of the person nominated for the position of Rector of CTU in Prague: October 22, 2025, from 1:30 p.m. in the meeting room of the CTU–CIIRC building, Jugoslávských partyzánů 3, Prague 6.

In the event of an unsuccessful first election:

  • Deadline for submitting candidate materials: November 7, 2025, at 12:00 p.m.
  • Submission of updated "Topics to Elaborate" by the AS committees to candidates: November 8, 2025
  • Deadline for submission of Topics by candidates: November 21, 2025
  • Discussion with candidates in joint committees of AS: December 3, 2025
  • Public presentation of candidates and discussion with the academic community and CTU employees: December 4, 2025
  • Election of the person nominated for the position of Rector of CTU in Prague: December 10, 2025
