The Academic Senate is an autonomous executive organ of the CTU community. The Academic Senate is elected by the academic community in such a way that each faculty is represented by three members of the academic staff and two students. The Rectorʹs Office, University Institutes and other CTU constituent parts are represented by two members of the academic staff and one student.

The Academic Senate of CTU ratifies internal regulations of the University and its constituent parts, ratifies the budget of the University proposed by the Rector and monitors the utilization of funds, as well as approving the CTU annual report and the CTU financial report proposed by the Rector.

The Academic Senate is elected for a three-year period.
