Research and Development Centre (RDC) at CTU organized the first of the series of presentations focused on modern trends in telecommunications called Wednesday Talk Series (WTS) on 26 March 2008. At the beginning Lukas Kencl, the director of the RDC, presented the series, its history and future and then introduced Sonja Buchegger from Deutsche Telekom Laboratories, Berlin. She talked briefly about the laboratory, its research and then, more detailed, about her own projects.

WTS brings insights into advances and trends in business and R&D in the area of modern communication networks. Every week, experts from both industrial and academic institutions in the Czech Republic and abroad share their visions and project experiences in evolution of a particular domain of technology, focusing on the networks of tomorrow.

The presentations start every Wednesday at 4:15 pm in the lab 505, block A4, Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Dejvice. More detailed program can be found on the WTS website. The presentations will be primarily held in English.
