On 23 October 2007, Cisco Systems and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering organised a presentation under the title Cisco University Student Forum. Students were admitted free of charge. Cisco employees introduced their latest networking technologies, including intelligent information networks, unified communications, wireless technologies, and network security. Students were also informed about opportunities to participate in Cisco Systems education, career and certification programs, and about the company’s major partners and clients.

The Faculty of Electrical Engineering hosts one of the local Cisco Networking Academy Programmes. These e-learning courses deal with network management, and consist of several levels. Graduates of the programme are awarded an internationally recognised certificate.
