A FORUM ON BUILDING DIFFERENTLY

The international forum focused on sustainable architecture and construction will be held at the beginning of April in Prague and will try to react on actual topics of limited resources on Earth. Conscious of their responsibility, architects, builders and developers now endeavour to design and build differently – experimenting with new methods, techniques and construction systems to present the truly “environmentally friendly” buildings.

This first forum has therefore taken as its first objective allowing professionals across the “construction chain” from Prague and the Czech Republic to evaluate the extent and the realities of changes that are underway, and to attain a better understanding of the challenges and prospects. Moreover, this forum aspires to provide the most specific and up-to-date information on the sustainable approach to construction, including its technological, economic, legal and other aspects.

This first forum in the annual series will be centred on three key events: a keynote introductory lecture by architect Françoise-Hélène Jourda; an exhibition “Global Award for Sustainable Architecture” produced by the Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine in Paris; and finally, a Study Day, bringing together the leading European experts in the field.
