The International Office has since 2005 organized intensive vacation courses in Czech as a Foreign Language for Erasmus students (EILC) funded by the National Agency and intends to continue doing this. Erasmus students wishing to participate in these courses must apply through the International Office at their home university.

During the academic year, the International Office offers accredited courses of Czech as a Foreign Language, and of Czech Life and Culture. The Czech language courses are offered at beginners’ level and at post-beginners’ level. The majority of Erasmus students take both a Czech language course and the Czech Culture course.

Incoming Erasmus and exchange students are expected to have adequate English language skills for their studies before arriving in Prague. Courses in English as a foreign language are not offered.
