The Academic Senate of CTU in Prague declares the election of a candidate to be rector of CTU in Prague

At its meeting on 22nd May 2013, the Academic Senate of CTU approved a timetable for the election of a candidate to be rector of CTU in Prague. The arrangements and the timetable for the election can be found here.

The Czech Technical University in Prague was established on the initiative of Josef Christian Willenberg, on the basis of a foundation deed signed by Emperor Joseph I and dated 18 January, 1707.

In the 2012/2013 academic year, about 24 000 students studied at CTU, and about 1,500 academic workers taught and carried out research at the university.

For three centuries, the Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU) has maintained its status as a prestigious technical university. Many scientific and technical personalities have left their trace here, and I am always pleased to hear that one of our graduates has participated in some major work or product innovation.
